Swing by the Museum of Fire for Fire and Rescue NSW's yearly Open Day, where you can meet the fire brigade heroes who bravely charge into the flames while the rest of us run the other way. It's your chance to check out their gear and get a close-up look at fire trucks that are shinier than a new car and just as capable of impressing your mates.

You'll have a blast chatting with the firefighters, who are usually more comfortable in their helmets than when they're off duty. Plus, seeing the classic trucks next to the high-tech ones is like a history lesson on wheels.
