Where to see Paper Daisies in Sydney

Nothing says spring like florals, and seeing beautiful paper daisies in bloom will certainly put a spring in your step. But where can you see these Western Australian natives in Sydney?



In good news, the Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan is home to the largest paper daisy display outside of Western Australia.



Masses of paper daisies brighten the garden beds surrounding the Connections Garden, in joyful pink and yellow hues. You can find the Connections Garden adjacent to the Visitor Centre.



The paper daisies are expected to be in bloom from the beginning of September until mid-October, with stems shooting up to a height of half a metre. But I have it on good authority that, if you want to see them at their peak, you should visit before 7 October. The gardens are open to the public every day between 8am – 5pm.

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the gardens on your visit:

Go for a walk – get your steps up as you explore the many walking trails within the gardens such as the Woodland Walk , Connections Garden Walk or Central Valley Walk.

Pack a Picnic and relax amongst the 416 hectares of the Australian Botanic Garden. There are numerous areas perfect for a picnic with friends or family. You can choose from the Wattle Garden, Banksia Garden or the Lakeside Lawn to name just a few.



Nature photography – at the Australian Botanic Garden you won't be short of subjects to experiment with and test your photography skills. Plants, animals, birds and insects are in abundance.

Panoramic views – as you drive or walk around the gardens there are many places to stop and enjoy the panoramic views such as at the Sundial of Human Involvement or walking along the Ridge Track.



Mountain bike trails – did you know the Australian Botanic Garden is home to Mountain bike trails ? This facility includes over 10 kilometres of trails with a mix of easy, moderate and advanced loops. They are open daily and free for public use.

Nature therapy – it's no secret that immersing yourself in nature can help to lower stress and anxiety levels and boost your immune system. To enjoy some nature therapy all you need to do is walk amongst the trees, breathe deeply and engage your senses.



Visit the Cafe – The Gardens Café serves breakfast and lunch plus coffee all day. The café is open from 8.30 – 4pm daily.

The Australian Botanic Garden is open every day of the year. During Spring, the garden is open from 8am - 5pm. Entry to the garden is via Narellan Road, Mount Annan.
